Bruin: we know you are our midwest #1 seed in hoops but what about Indiana high school baseball?
The Sox drafted Trey Ball out of high school in Indiana...overall #7 in the draft....6'6" lefty.....throws 93/94 on the gun.
Know anything about him? He is being drafted as a pitcher but also plays another position...so I assume he is athletic. At 6'6" I would be surprised if he didn't play hoops as well in high school.

Got anything?

Yeah, I've read most of the reports on the Sox website, etc., but would love to know more. First time in 20 years we've picked that high.

I also know Trey used a wood bat all year. He had 10 home runs this season. According to Trey that 6'6" lefty from Steve Alford's hometown and the location of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame admitted, he couldn't shoot, so he focused on baseball. I think it worked out.

Oh, and Blake, the bball - doesn't really stand for Basketball. Baseball was always my first love in sports.

From what I have read, his 'slot' would get a bit over 3 million to sign. Texas would be his destination if he goes to college.
It sounds like he will go pro
