I just logged in to check my donor status. It looks like my points for last year never hit my account, and I may need a PhD in math to understand how they computed the new .05 bonus.

Has anyone else seen an issue with their points?

Here’s how the bonus points work:

For every dollar of a pledge or outright gift paid in full by June 29th, the donor will receive .05 bonus points of the total points accumulated by the pledge amount paid. For partialpledge payments a donor will receive .03 bonus points of the total points accumulated by the donation amount. Below are a few helpful examples on how to calculate the bonus points.

Example 1: Donor pledged $1,000 to an unrestricted fund (Husky Excellence Fund or Husky Annual Scholarship Fund) for the 2018-19 annual fund year and paid their entire $1,000 pledge before June 29th, they will receive 50 points (5 points for every $100) + 2.5 bonus points (.05 bonus points x 50 points earned) = 52.50 total points.

Example 2: Donor pledged $1,000 to an unrestricted fund for the 2018-19 annual fund year and pays $500 of their $1,000 pledge before June 29th, the donor receives 50 points (5 points for every $100) + .75 bonus points (.03 bonus points x 25 points earned from paying $500 before June 29th) = 50.75 total points.

Example 3: Donor pledged $1,000 to a restricted fund (sport-specific, capital projects, endowments, etc.) for the 2018-19 annual fund year and paid their entire $1,000 pledge before June 29th, they will receive 20 points (2 points for every $100) + 1 bonus point (.05 bonus points x 20 points earned) = 21 total points.

Example 4: Donor pledged $1,000 to a restricted fund for the 2018-19 annual fund year and paid $500 of their $1,000 pledge before June 29th, the donor receives 20 points (2 points for every $100) + .3 bonus points (.03 bonus points x 10 points earned from paying $500 before June 29th) = 20.30 total points.

Example 5: Donor pledged $1,000 to the Husky Athletic Fund and waived all athletic priority seating points and other related benefits associated with a gift, the donor account will receive 0 priority points for 2018-19 giving year.

I donated last year. I got a thank you letter but I don't think I received anything else. How do you make/log into an account?

The book that came with this year's materials says .05 points per dollar paid before June 29th. I am going to call them anyway about my lost points and I'll get clarification on that.

Where did you find those examples?

They emailed it sometime in May-June

What does over 1300 get you?
It gets you an earlier call in time to select your own seats. Should have been early enough in the selection process, for you to get seatbacks in the GP

Trying to understand all this since the seat selection already took place. . What am I missing?

My prediction....he lived in Wheeler while at UConn.
Yes sir. Wheeler C!

So what I learned is you actually get prorated points for donations. I always assumed it was only done on a per $100 basis. Not the case.

Also, I must have missed that email clarifying the bonus points. It is on points earned, not dollars paid.

Thanks
