UGHHH...this is horrible.

RIP. Best wishes to her family and friends.

Sort of off topic, but Payne really strikes me as a NICE person. Beyond giving Lacey so much joy these past couple years, I was impressed by the way he dealt with the loss in MSG. As his career ended he celebrated that walk-on's 3-pointer and was utterly gracious in defeat. Perhaps his friendship with Lacey gave him some important perspective as to what's important in life. I wish him the best of luck in the NBA.

He grew up a ton at Michigan State. I saw him a lot in high school in nearby Dayton and the knock on him was serious immaturity and attitude problems. He embodies what college is all about: growing up.

That quickly puts this UConn championship in perspective. Very sad. Adorable child from what I saw on TV. errrrrrrr :(

Wow, she was just at the end of season college dunk & three point contest for Seniors the past week. She was smiling & Payne went up to her time before he went to go for his dunks! Can't believe she passed so soon after. Sometimes you never know, until it's gone. Very sad. :(
