Just watched "Straight "outa Compton" this morning.
I'm not in to Hip Hop, Rap or whatever the proper term might be for it but, "duck* the Police" has to be right up there.

Notwithstanding the preceding comment, the several movies featuring this genre of music (9 Mile, Crash, Straight) have been really great and involving movies with great soundtracks.
8 Mile is great, I didn't get into Crash... and Get Rich or Die Trying is good as well

Odd historical fact; The three actual events that were later immortalized in the murder ballads "Stack-O-Lee", "Frankie and Johnnie" and "Duncan and Brady" all occurred within a ten-year period and within a few blocks of each other. Of course, it is open to question whether these old ballads, of each of which there are about as many versions as there are performers, fit the intended category as "pop" music, but are all quite interesting, to me at least. So here is one more, then I will shut up.

Just the opening line of this song is enough to send us parents for our guns.
