The responses this tweet got were hilarious. Not so much hating on Navy as an opponent but for getting passed up by the ACCs "tier 1" bowls by teams with worse records, Pitt finished 8-4. Oh Pitt fans, haha.

Most Pitt fans wanted a driveable game - and Music City/Pinstripe were the preferred destinations. Nobody really wanted to go to Shreveport or El Paso, but plenty wanted to go to Nashville, with NYC as 2nd choice.

The wife is already on me to go to Annapolis. It's closest at just over 4 hours drive time.

I have family that attended Pitt. They're happy with the bowl. It's an easy drive from Philly where they live.

well, they're still 2nd class citizens in the ACC, and that may never change

All of the conferences leave some leeway to the bowls to pick who they want within some set parameters. The tier one bowls simply didn't want Pitt.
