I think he's tipping
The Cards have taken comfortable (very) swings from the outset.
 
It was the right call, and at least the ump(Joyce) had a good look at the play...

It was the right call on the other hand a similar call involving Fisk and Armbrister was blown in 1975.

In the play last night there was what occured after Salty made a throw he never should have attempted.

Many runner would not have tried to score on that overthrow being on the ground they just get up and on the bag.

Usually a runner coming into 3rd end up on the outside of the base. If that occured he is clear of Boegertz and obstruction is unlikely.

Called right but a terrible break against the Sox and a curriosity to boot. A play the Sox have lost on both sides of the ruling, wrongly in 1975 when the explanation by the home plate umpire was, "There was no intent by Armbrister."

And one can add in the Denkinger debacle from 1985 that happened to the Cardinals. And that one actually called wrong.
