OT: OT - Outdated Words That Were Once Popular

When I was in college, those two companies: Eastman Kodak an Xerox are the best for jobs.
Now, Kodak and Xerox are barely surviving with market cap. less than $500M.
more relevant here is General Electric Capital Corporation, aka GECC. They are just GE now because they lost all their capital!

I appreciate many of these "old" words, but I have to admit my first thought on reading the title was words from truly past eras that come up in old books. Egad, for example. I have been reading some mysteries dating to the 1920's, and there have been words I have had to look up and they come up in my definitions as "historical".

Also amazing in reading from another era was the casual use of words we now consider slurs. Not always, though sadly often, used in precisely that way.

Service Merchandise
I used to shop there. With stores locking their merchandise behind glass, that business model is making a comeback.

Question isn't "The bomb" a little too new to be on the list? FYI, I'm a little uneasy talking about bombs online in this day and age. No telling if AI is going to flag this.

Pretty soon, CD

I just bought a brand new Hyundai Tucson Hybrid.
And it does not have CD, only has a Sam Data USB flash drive.
CD's are making a comeback (I still have over 100, and recently completed my collection of the Beatles studio albums). Many
people like the idea of owning permanent physical copies of their favorite music.
