I think you may be jumping the gun just a little bit here, as some reports have it as a case of her being mistaken for a home intruder. Bottom line is we just don't know enough at this point one way or the other.

Come on he shot her 4 times, once in the head. Neighbors heard them arguing and it sounds like he has a history of domestic violence with her. The media put out the report of an intruder, not the police, he's being charged with murder.

im not a laywer, but the evidence against him seems pretty overwhelming. i doubt pistorius has a leg to stand on in court

None of that was on ESPN or CNN when I responded. That's a lot more damning. I just heard way too many people at the beginning convicting him when there were absolutely no details available.

Edit: I still can't find any of these details. All I found is a report that the neighbors heard something. Can you link to the report?

very true...I spent three weeks in Umtata & it was extremely dangerous to be out on the streets at night, the lower middle class homes all had 8 foot high fences with either electrification or jagged glass on their tops. There were also two high profile multiple murders while I was there...family wiped out on a farmstead and four tourists shot in their car on the way to a tourist spot on the Indian Ocean where I drove to the following week.
