OT: Operation 351 continues .....

Every year this comes up, and every year I declare it's only my second favorite Fishy post. And every year someone asks me what the funniest Fishy post is.

Hey man, just curious: what’s your SINGLE favorite Fishy quote? We all keep our personal top 10 so I’m interested.

In the somewhat unlikely event that Kansas is your game on December 3rd, K State plays a home game on Monday Dec 1 and UMKC has a home game on Wednesday the 4th. But being on the charter may mean that isn't feasible.

Congrats on the unique experience, wherever it is. Hopefully not St. Johns.
This might be a never ending quest if a team or two moves up to division 1 each year

Which has been happening. Last season there were 364 Division I basketball teams. So 13 more than when he started this quest.
Some have moved down as well in the last few years like UHartford and St. Francis-Brooklyn, for example, which messes with the count too. St. Francis-Pennsylvania is moving down after this season also. U New Haven moved up to D1 for this year so the count is 365 for the 2025-26 season.

Thank you for asking.

It is this:

How do you address schools that regularly play two venues like Nova, St John’s (or UConn)? Do you need to go to both, just the campus one, or does going either one count and let you cross the school off the list?

Looking at it, it would be nearly impossible to do it in less than two months
Rent an RV....travel the coast, go to wineries in Or & Ca...visit a few national parks, and a 20 probably terrible/meaningless basketball games...seems like a good gig for 2 months if you are retired!

For me, it's 1 home venue per school. I'd always prefer it to be the on campus one, but either counts to me. Personally, I've been to Gampel twice, but never to PBA for example. I've been to Finneran at Nova, but have never been to Wells Fargo or whatever it's called now too.

Replacement venues don't have to be redone in my opinion either. For instance, Baylor and Liberty have built new arenas since I've visited their facilities, but the previous visits still count for the total.

Obviously there's no official written rules for these journeys, but that's how I choose to put parameters around the project at least.
