The 6'7" shooting guardwas one of the most sought-after recruits in the nation during the 1986-87 recruiting cycle. At the time, he was considered the most talented player from New York City since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. However, he'd attended five high schools in three states, and could not read above a third-grade level.

There are even more guys than we know that just fly under the radar at Kentucky and UCLA and such. It's ridiculous how little these guys care about what they do after they finish playing, or if they can't land a spot on a pro team. It's terrible to think of where this guy probably is now.

He spent too much time doing drugs as a youngster, which derailed his college ambitions and hurt his development. Sad story. He probably could have been so much better. He did have a brief career in the NBA, which is a lot more than many can say.

**** are you even talking about?

By the way, Lloyd Daniels could PLAY. However many years living in the streets, smoking rocks, getting shot, and he walks onto an NBA floor and drops 20+ like nothing. Too bad he wasn't born in the 'burbs.

Lloyd Daniels was a stud, would've been great if he didn't take so many wrong turns. But I was always impressed how he found his way to the NBA despite.........quite a story!
