Iowa scored more than half their points from the charity stripe, with one player hitting 17 of 17. The recap doesn't shed any light on whether there was something unusual, or just happenstance.

Remember those names. They whistled 4 players out of the game. (3 from WV and 1 from IA). Plus 3 others with 4 fouls. WV 34fouls and IA 23 fouls.

They must have got new whistles as early Christmas presents.

My benchmark for over-intrusivness by officials is 40 fouls total.

57 fouls is ridiculous. The spectators should have gotten their
money back.

I agree. Granted, I didn't actually see the game, so I can't make an informed assessment, but clearly the officials, not the players, are at fault.
