so two coaches that defeated us are out. Probably three once Skip gets the sack.
 
So if Skip gets the boot (as is expected) there will be three HC's who we got fired even though they beat us.

I miss the days when a team was required to lose to us to get the head coach canned.

I might let out a slight whimper if NC State hires Leach. I don't think I want him at UConn but I couldn't help but be envious.
 
Defenses in the ACC better get ready. That guy can coach offensive football. After the turmoil this past season at WSU, I'm sure their president and AD would welcome him getting hired somewhere else and starting anew.

I actually think O'Brien is a pretty good coach. NC State has some pretty high expectations for a program that has literally never done anything.
 
Looks like James Franklin isn't interested as Yow has said he's not a candidate.

Agreed. How old is O'Brien, by the way? Has ties to the Northeast, wouldn't mind him here.

His teams and schemes are predictable as hell. He also needs 3 building seasons and his favorite line is we just did not execute. Add in the fact that he let Russell Wilson leave for Wisc, and you have a solid basis for a ten o no.

Russell Wilson jerked NC State around with baseball. He was a great player but wouldn't commit to the football offseason to play baseball and was a non-prospect.

Not sure if he thought he could raise his NFL price by requiring that they buy him out of baseball or what he was thinking.

Saban is 62 and 4 other top 10 coaches are over 60. Bill Snyder is amazing while Lane Kiffin is a flop. Age is not as big a factor to me as many on this board make it out to be. If. A guy can coach, he can coach.
