OT- NHL Florida Panthers evacuating to Massachusetts

Panthers charter players, families and pets to Boston, away from Hurricane Irma

Maybe even staying in Springfield for training camp depending on damage in FL.

That should make a few heads explode on the 'Yard.

How will they focus on Sports? The bottom line is USF should have been formulating a plan for family members on Tuesday, had it in motion by Wednesday and finished transport and accomodations yesterday. Instead they threw their hands up and kept choosing the worst option based on being back in Tampa Saturday-Monday regardless of the risk. And now the risk seems to be growing. I hope it doesn't blow up on them.

Pretty different to evacuate teams, families, etc. when you don't have to play, go to school, and practice for a game the following week. NHL training camps don't even start for another week. And also pretty different when the NHL doesn't explicitly forbid paying for that travel for families, as the NCAA does. I agree USF probably could've planned better here, but expecting them to come up, prepare, and play a football game when their homes are getting ravaged back home is ridiculous.

.-.
How about the Hurricanes moving back home. You can go home again, Whalers!!
