this guy seems sort of bright. his resume is so impressive, i read it with the aid of a dictionary.

i really like what the school is doing at a leadership level - they have made some really stellar hires recently, it would seem.

This is a great choice. Wake Forest is a great school for science. It has a very good reputation nationally and 1 of the best researchers in the world and acquaintence of mine is affiliated with Wake Forest. I have type 1 diabetes so have a strong interest in learning about these type of hires. UConn has some amazing researchers at the University. Herbst is starting to make some very good calls. All JMHO for what its worth.

Should be a huge step forward in oncology research dollars out of the gate. Plus we get his wife, who has research cred as well. Sounds like he's spent a career as a leader - hope he can keep the health center moving in the right direction.
