By my count, Saturday Night Live has ended two musical careers over the past month.

First, was that red-headed chick who was on Xanax a few weeks ago.

Tonight, something called Sleigh Bells washed up on the beach. They were worse than the Marquette game and the sound mix was just brutal - I'm not sure if this was a bad thing or not, but the lead singer was basically inaudible over two guitarists and a backup track.

I've seen SNL about twice in the past two years and both times I believe I saw a musical act come to a fiery end.

Don't misjudge the lack of taste of teenagers.

Sleigh Bells are this years' "Jesus and Mary Chain" or "Ting Tings".

SNL acts keep getting worse as they try to make themselves relevant to the kids and the one hit wonders. Justin Beiber, Kei$ha, Jessie J, Foster the People, and Sleigh Bells.

Accept no substitutes unless its the Velvet underground doing Sister Ray

Jesus and Mary Chain was the balls.

Lana Del Rey's album debuted at #2, no doubt in some part due to her "career-ending" performance on SNL.(Don't get me wrong; I saw it, and she was terrible.)

Any publicity is good publicity sometimes.

Sleigh Bells has been around for a couple years. You've never heard of them but now you have. And at least one teenager with an allowance is in the same boat and might have liked what he or she heard.

The music is rarely good but the reason to watch is because every now and then they open with a good skit, like the one where Newt was president on the moon.

I think SNL has killed more comedians' careers in the last few years than musicians'.

I've always despised how at the end of every Saturday Night Live episode they have the cast appear on the stage as the credit rolls and the Saturday Night Live band plays. I don't know why, but something about it is deeply annoying.

I know, they look like a bunch of communists up there.

Um, turn off the TV.

Kenan Thompson or whatever his name is could be one of the worst fat guy comics in history. I often ask myself how he continues to hold down a job in anything related to comedy with his stupid facial gestures to the same idiotic schtick over and over. It's to the point where I Effen hate him and want to write Lorne Michaels to ask him if the reason he keeps him around is because he gives good head.

The musical act last week, Karmin, are actually my girlfriend's roommates last year when they got discovered for one of their YouTube videos. Their new music is a lot different then their former stuff, seems very record label-influenced. They're actually quite talented musicians.
