pricing moving company's in central ct in the bristol area. anyone have a good recommendation? just doing a cost analysis

They're all rip-offs. They'll show up, hand you a 3-page contract to sign and will likely damage something and claim they are not responsible. Better to just burn all your and start over.

Boneyard fire house party. Bring your gas can and cooler

Whatever you do, do NOT use a fly by night service. Use a name brand, established company. Had a friend with a horror story where the folks arrived at the drop off point and demanded more cash. She said no. They drove off. Took her 9 months to get her stuff back.

We had a successful move using Geometric Moving and Storage out of Middletown. Hard-working crew each time.

i'll move your for 75% the cost of the lowest # u get. i have a ford ranger and several hard working friends. we will even mow the lawn as a last cleanup for free.

That first line is a great slogan and the Ford Ranger part is laugh out loud funny.

Similar thing happened to my parents. Fortunately, my uncle was there and as he watched the shake down taking place he had the presence of mind to quietly wander off and call the sheriff. It is considered a civil issue so you have to say that you are scared or being threatened to get the sheriff to come. Once the cops are there the movers stop their bullshit.

We moved from Alabama to Iowa last summer. My husband and a friend of his loaded up an ABF trailer. It cost $1275. (We had a whole unit--there was no space left after the bulkhead went up.) Then we hired a couple of guys from Two Men and a Truck to unload for about $225--$300 after we tipped them.

i have these bungee cords that make it possible to hold anything size wise in the back of my truck. top that dodge cactus!

Two or four door? Wondering what you can hold.. stratus and a ranger could work

Sorry, I wasn't offering my services, just quoting an SNL skit that Dan reminded me of.

Amen to that. Mover from CT to SC lost three barrels of dishes we paid them to pack and we never collected a cent. Local mover in SC damaged several pieces of furniture and only paid to refinish one table.
