He was terrible at NM so why do they think he can succeed here now?

The only way he can succeed is hiring a great staff around him running the offense and defense.

And they thought the Fridge was a loose canon! Maybe after HCRE2.0 puts the culture back in UConn football there will be an opening at his Dream School so he can become HCREDreamSchool2.0.

From what I heard, Mike Locksley did an excellent job of recruiting, especially in Mid Atlantic region. Isn't that kind of important for Maryland, and for that matter, UConn?

Randy and Mike recruited a Heisman finalist to Maryland, so yes, the DMV is important.

Haskins immediately becomes the centerpiece of Maryland’s latest recruiting class, not only because of what he could mean for Coach Randy Edsall’s “DMV” movement, but also because of his own prodigious skills. He is a consensus four-star recruit and ranked among the top five rising senior quarterbacks in the country by Rivals and 247 Sports.

After a junior season in which he completed more than 60 percent of his passes for 1,936 yards and 22 touchdowns over 10 games, Haskins earned second team All-Met and Maryland Gatorade player of the yearhonors. He picked the Terrapins over finalists Rutgers, Florida, Notre Dame, Alabama and Virginia Tech.

The 6-foot-2 pocket passer, who came to Bullis from New Jersey three years ago, credited his relationship with Maryland offensive coordinator Mike Locksley for providing comfort amidst the chaos that can sometimes consume a national recruit.

Of course, Randy got fired, JT texted Urban Meyer at Ohio State and the rest is history!

Terrible is an understatement - they were like us now. His total head coaching record is 3-31.
