Might be one of the biggest upsets brewing. #15 Florida Gulf Coast is absolutely taking it to #2 Georgetown. 52 - 37 with 11:36 to play. Georgetown loses, it blows up my bracket.

There have been some crazy and exciting games so far - Harvard / New Mexico was terrific and the St Mary's / Memphis , Marquette / Davison and several others were quite fun too. My final four teams are all OK so far, but I am rapidly losing points in the early rounds!

It would really be great if the women's early round games prove to be this exciting.

FGCU went HAM tonight

And I loved that it happened :)

That was a pretty great play - very gutsy. The Hoyas had momentum and FCGU could have played conservatively to keep the lead... but nope. I dare say the best play of the first round?

My husband is a Georgetown alum and he was disgusted. Seedings don't matter when one team plays aggressively, with energy and passion and the other team doesn't.

FGCU did beat another 2 seed, Miami, in their second game of the season. Possibly something to take solace in. Definitely easier said than done.

.-.
Never liked Georgetown, so that was nice to see this morning. My pool doesn't go by brackets, so I'm still sitting pretty good. Lost out on the Ole Miss/Wisconsin game. But that was a toss-up for me anyway.
