OT: Media's response to expansion

Has anyone noticed that after years of seeing the Big East and every smaller conference picked over like a corpse chained to a cactus, now the media has a bug up its ass because the ACC suffered one duck*ing casualty?

Expansion, something the ACC basically kicked into high gear time and time again, finally gets some blowback and now the college sports world is a cesspool of greed?

None of this was a problem in 2003. Wasn't a problem last fall. It sure wasn't a problem when TCU and West Virginia moved on. But now it's a problem? They can duck* themselves. The blond dips*** that writes for ESPN, Dana whatever, can go first.

Of course the media didn't care when the Big East was getting picked apart; it was the media (ABC/ESPN) that drove that to happen because it had a vested interest in seeing the ACC (and others) prosper at the expense of the Big East due to the television contracts, which the Big East did not have after telling ESPN that it wanted to shop around before committing.

The reason there is such a media fuss about the ACC raid is because further instability in that conference could hurt the bottom line of the same media that fomented the raid on the Big East in order to stabilize the ACC and maximize the television revenue.
