Maureen O'Hara--a real Irish born actress who possessed the attributes of all the Irish women in my life, starting with Mom. Sturdy, independent, single minded, and a friend for life. Maureen was a woman all women or men could and did respect. The Hunch Back of Notre Dame, through a dozen with John Wayne (where she held her own) up to the TCM clips--marvelous just marvelous. God let you rest Miss O'Hara you earned the rest.

I also loved her in "Only the Lonely", playing John Candy's domineering mother. An underrated movie, IMO.

.-.
The Quiet Man and Miracle on 34th Street are two classic films. Quiet Man is one one of my favorites as well.

"This is a fight I'd come a long way to see."
"I hope you can stick around for the end of it."
