Jeff Knox just became his own Bud Light commercial today.

How?

He's a member at Augusta who had to play a round with Rory McIlroy since an odd number of players made the cut. So how did Jeff do today. He beat Rory straight up 70 to 71. Even better, Knox bogeyed #18 and McIlroy had to birdie three of the last four to make it close.

Knox also holds the Augusta members course record of 61, but that's playing from the member's tees and not in Masters conditions.

So, Bud Light Salutes You, Mister I'm the Member's Course Record Holder and Can Go Out on a Saturday of Championship Week and Beat One of the Five Best Players in the World and then Go Back to Running a Board
Room on Monday Guy.

In the words of President John F. Kennedy, "Show me a man who is good at Golf and I'll show you a man who is neglecting something."

Wow was out all day yesterday and did not see this story…….for those who don't play the game this is an amazing feat. I am guessing he plays the course from less than 7K yards mostly plus never in front of the crowds McIlroy totes along with him….wow!!

The most surprising thing about this story is that the story was even allowed to happen.

Not in the usual character of Augusta to publicize its members and definitely not in the respect of using a player of McIlroy's caliber as the measuring stick.

Usually this is the type of event that is passed via word of mouth and becomes legend.

And they did say Knox's previous best from the championship tees is a 69. But even that isn't playing with tournament pin placements and green speed.

Mau is right. It's hard to compare what he did. Maybe a Rucker's park legend coming off the street and putting up a triple double in the NBA Finals?

Didn't realize he was a kid……thought he was an older rich gentleman instead I guess his father is……lol……doesn't take away from what he accomplished!
