Michigan State is just awful. 12-13 on the season. How Maryland is struggling in this game is mystifying.

I think the BiG does ok on attendance, though I havent checked lately. The problem is that Michigan St is having a terribly disappointing year, and it's bitter cold out.

MSU put up a good effort, especially because they have only 5 healthy non-walk-ons. They were ahead with 10 mins left, but missed 11 FTAs in a 7-point loss. Maryland is decent, but the new conference makes them look better than I think they really are.

They both played a weak non-conference schedule. ......The BIG12 > the BIG10. Maryland was forced to play Notre Dame in the ACC /BIG 10 challenge. Frese did not schedule a ranked team.
