The multiverse stuff has been really hit and miss. Hope theyre smart enough to go away from it because unless youre a more hardcore fan you really can get lost in all this stuff like the OP is. Ive honestly tuned out on Marvel since Avengers age of Ultron. I liked Infinity war but the rest has been meh especially lately and dont get me started on the Disney shows.
I did like Endgame and though it's Sony, I like Spiderman: No Way Home. I haven't liked a Marvel movie since. I don't subscribe to Disney+. I think Marvel/Disney went too big and too broad and if things continue, the ultimate legacy of the 'multiverse' is that it will be a way to reboot everything.

I'm most excited about DC's new superman next year. Gunn has said he is forgoing the dark style of recent DC movies for more of a classic uplifting superman adventure. I have my fingers crossed.

I am pretty sure Downey read to play Doom in the original fantastic 4 movie. Cannot recall if he was passed over, or if they selected him for Iron Man instead. As a fan of almost everything done in the MCU up through Endgame I like his return to the universe.
I kinda don’t care much about the new Marvel movies but I am interested in seeing Dr. Doom, mainly cause RDJ is in the role. If he wasn’t, I probably wouldn’t be interested. Captain Marvel kinda ended my interest in Marvel movies.

They have completely blown it. They intended to build around Kang as the big threat, but even before Majors troubles, they completely blew the character. Thanos was built up as a true threat, lurking in the background, manipulating events untill he made his move. Kang? One version gets killed by female Loki and another gets his ass handed to him by Ant Man and family. So much for him being a super threat.

It's going to be tough for them to bounce back. Deadpool and Wolverine is a one off that happened in spite of Kevin Feige, and the next Captain America film, and the Thunderbolts both appear to be DOA. Not much momentum leading up to a retooled Avengers team that is missing the great Iron man/Captain America dynamic that added so much tension to it.

With the multiverse, this version of Dr. Doom will be from a different universe. There is one comic where Tony Stark becomes Dr. Doom in an Iron suit, and there's another comic where Tony Stark and Victor Von Doom switch bodies doing an experiment. My guess it will be a remix on either of these two comic stories.

The culmination of this is that all the universes will collide with all the variants across the multiverse battling it out (SECRET WARS) with then one universe/timeline coming out of it for another Marvel reset.

It will be interesting. I thought Dr. Doom was Victor Von Doom.

I think Marvel is washed.

As mentioned Chris Evans has now played two different characters in the MCU, but he wasn't even the first. Gemma Chan was two completely different characters in Captain Marvel and Eternals.

Deadpool - Wolverine suggests otherwise. Also, RD Jr. insisted that the Russos direct both movies. They were responsible for some of the best MCU movies.

Haven’t seen it. And really I won’t until it’s free on one of the subscriptions that I already pay for.

So over it. I read all the comics as a kid.
