OT: Marian McPartland 1918-2013

Marian McPartland, one of the last links to the golden age of jazz (although she didn't settle in NYC until almost 1950), has died. She was 95.

A great lady of music; a woman of class, wonderful stories and many, many friends.

I used to love her show on NPR on Sunday evenings. Rest in peace, Marian.
