Our son and grandson were at the game. Scherzer was clocked at 97 for the fastball. He gave up 4 runs. Looked ok. Father Time is catching up to him. He's 37.

I watched Max a lot in D.C. He would throw a bad pitch too often, but he was still fun to watch. Yeah, it's tough to throw that hard at that age. He seemed like the Rafael Nadal of pitching, grunting on every one.
