You know what I always say, the truth lies somewhere in the middle sometimes. If there’s 20 times, there’s been 10. If you say there’s $10,000, there’s $3,000 or $4,000 that was passed. Pitino curiously mentions Joe Paterno as a sympathetic character, "they took down a statute." Very poorly chosen comparison. Paterno knew about Sandusky's rape of children and failed to act. All the NCAA needs to find is that Pitino knew or should have known and he, as well as Louisville, ought to be sanctioned. The coach criticized a writer who concluded that the compulsively controlling Pitino had to have been aware. What is Pitino thinking? Sounds like he believes that iconic coaches should be less responsible for their errors than lesser lights. Shouldn't it be the opposite?

Pitino loves a microphone when the media is dutifully spreading his bull s---, but he gets straight unhinged when he's not allowed to print the script.

His program had hookers entertaining recruits and if he's that out of touch that he didn't know what was going on, lord knows what else is happening.

So he skips the post-UK presser because he doesn't want to endure a press conference where he'll have to talk about Calipari drubbing his ass again and then pointed questions about his future and the hookers. As he's scurrying off the court, he flips off a fan to boot. His explanations for all three are basically lies.

Then he throws everyone from ESPN to the NCAA to a security guard under the bus trying to explain away his own negligence and malpractice in running an above-board athletic program. That will go well, Rick.

Just a dishonest, dishonorable guy. A lot of coaches we pick on here - K, Boeheim, Lavin - are actually good people who are just with competing programs. Pitino is different - not a good dude.

Pretty funny that Pitino and Cal, of all the coaches in the country, have been competing in the same state in one of the most heated rivalries in MCBB. Those two were made for each other. No surprise JC once compared them in terms of their relative BSing.

I would love to be at a presser with Pitino and Coach Cal on the subject of using professional female entertainers for recruiting purposes. My guess, Coach Cal makes fun of Pitino for getting caught.
