Kasey Hill, McDonalds AA and current starter, with a high ankle sprain, reportedly out a month so he would miss the 12/2 game with that timetable

That's a big loss for them going up against our backcourt.

But that picture...

For some reason, ankle sprains always look a lot worse than they actually are. Maybe that particular ligament was really meant to be able to stretch that far without causing severe damage.

Conversely, I have seen so many minor-looking knee tweaks turn out to be season-ending ACL injuries.

It's funny how that works out.

Ankles bending like that give me the FUUUUCKKKKING creeps. Still haven't watched the Ware injury (I had just gotten back from Easter dinner and turned on the TV moments after it happened.) Probably feel this way because when I was in high school I watched a kid seriously damnnear get his foot ripped off. He was a "goth" or whatever kid and he climbed the bleachers on the side of the gym after class when kids just stand around waiting for the bell to ring after class. He got up to the top of one of the auxiliary hoops and jumped from the TOP OF THE BACKBOARD. When he landed he went to stand up and it looked like his shoe had slipped off his foot but his foot still in the shoe barely on his leg just with a bit or tendon and skin. TRAUMATIZED. Never learned if the kid meant any self harm or anything but it was disgusting. Not sure the kid ever returned to school. Gym teachers were probably lucky to keep their jobs as there was no supervision in the gym.

Ouch! If his foot was for the most part still in that shoe, then I don't know how someone comes back from that after a month or so. I've been lucky not to have every sprained an ankle of nearly that magnitude. I've had a little twist here and there and once did a little damage to the inside of the ankle which is rare, when kicking a soccer ball while someone else was trying to kick the other side of that same ball at the same time.

Anyhow, once you stretch those ligaments they never shrink back to what they once were and the person is prone to stretch and sprain it again. I hope he heals up quickly.

As much as I like getting Ws against good teams, I like doing it against teams that are at full strength.

Don't worry, Florida will essentially be at full strength...per ESPN today:
"The senior is suspended indefinitely, but sources told ESPN.com that Wilbekin will likely miss one more game and then return to the lineup on Nov. 25 at Jacksonville."
So their returning point guard, who had been suspended indefinitely, will be available to play against UConn on 02 December.
