The last major of the year...on espn2 from 9:00am to 12:00 Thursday thru Sunday.
Stacie Lewis has a shot at being the POY....the first American to do it in quite a while...I think she would need to win this event to get that honor.

Lewis opened with a 74 which puts her in 62nd place tied with Lexi Thompson.

Anyone that used to feel bad for Meghan and Bob when they had to try to make a UConn 40 point blowout sound intertesting would really sympathize with ABC's announcers at the Women's Open today. Jiyai Shin lapped the field winning by 9 over 2nd place finisher and fellow Korean Inbee Park. Paula Creamer finished 3rd only 1 behind Park.
