Blakeon I would love to see Lexi, Jessica Korda, Amanda Blumenhurst, or Paula Creamer win.
Any of those and I would be happy. More pressure to win now it being a Solheim year !

The round isn't over, but, so far, Michelle Wie has the round of the day going - 4 under through 13, which would jump her over nearly 60 golfers. Talk about "moving day"! (which is normally the 3rd round, I know).

With only a half dozen Americans in the top 20 Rolex rankings odds are it will be a "furriner."

I thought you wrote furrier and it made me pull my hide a little closer.

Thought he said "farrier", and was wondering how the horsey set got the inside edge!

Morgan Pressel finishes round 2 with a 70 and has a 2 stroke lead. Pressel is coming off some injuries and this is her best showing in a while. Brittany Lincicome is the next highest American in 10th place and 4 shots out.

Inbee Park wins it....I think that is 9 majors in a row by Asian players.

From the admittedly biased perspective of a fan, I was very impressed with Michelle Wie yesterday. After shooting -1 in the third round, and birdie-ing the first hole of round four, the wheels came off - big time. Over the next 5 holes, Wie recorded 4 bogeys.

I think, in the past, that would have pretty much sunk her round. The shoulders would've slumped, the eyes would've rolled, and she'd be toast. All she did is play the next 12 holes in -4, putting her -1 for the round. It also meant that she played 3 consecutive under par rounds in a major. Maybe, just maybe, the combination of maturity and her funky putting stance is allowing some of her enormous potential to surface.

It was nice to see her have a good tournament. Her 9th place finish almost doubled her season earnings. But once again, American players can't get it done in a major.

Whenever I see Wie's putting stance all I can think of is "oh my aching back", but the announcers were discussing it and according to them her doctors are telling her that it puts very little stress on her back.

The only 2 people who were under par each of the 2 Sunday rounds were Cristie Kerr, and Michelle, so that is a step in the right direction.
