The unofficial start of spring...first major of the year!

Have any Boneyarders been on the grounds at Augusta National?
I haven't but the few I know who have have said that TV doesn't do the beauty of the place nor the severity of some of the hills justice.

Play maybe off and on today and tomorrow with rain in the picture. Course will be softened so I suspect scores will be fairly low.

I was there for a practice round in 2003, the year of the boycott. Though it was a little muddy, the grounds are immaculate. I notice imperfections. There were none. As they say on TV, the place is hillier than it looks on the screen. Indeed. Despite Augusta's best efforts, I think that the azaleas are past their peak this year.

[2003 was an interesting year--Men's Final Four in New Orleans on Saturday, Women's Semi-Finals in Atlanta on Sunday, Masters practice round on Tuesday morning, Women's Finals on Tuesday night. I met a Texas fan who was driving back and forth between the men's and women's tourneys for all 4 games--Alex, was that you? The year that I win the lottery for Masters tickets, I also win the lottery for the men's tourney--and they conflict!]

I think that Tiger, Phil, Rory, and Luke are all on top of their games. It should be very interesting this year.
