So Kevin Ware didn't show up for his court date today. He was ticketed for going 95 in a 55. Not a big deal in the surface but it turns out the car was a 2013 Dodge Challenger and is owned by a UL booster. Interesting to see if anything comes from this. You can bet UK fans will dig up as much dirt as they can...

Where did you find the info about who owned the car???? Can't find that anywhere online...

Uk rivals site. The had a link to a tweet from a Kentucky sports guy

Pitino told ESPN.com that Ware forgot about the court date. Pitino expects Ware to lose his license, but the guard won't face any team discipline at this time.

"I don't get into parking tickets and things like that, as long as there is no drinking going on," Pitino told ESPN.com. "I chewed [him] out pretty good for being foolish. But as far as punishment, he will lose his license and he will be walking a lot. I hope he likes walking. Hey, it will be good for his leg."

Oh, those silly kids driving 95 mph in their $35,000 sportscars!

He got a good chewin' out from Rick who apparently hadn't even heard about the charges earlier in the day.

Loved the ESPN headline - not on the front page - "Louisville's Ware has court date postponed".

Ah, well, I guess....kind of a benign interpretation when the headline could have read something to the effect of Ware skipping a court date for driving 50 mph over the limit in a $40,000 sports car. (I won't wait up for that Yahoo investigation into the car, either.)

Jones goes on to say he has no idea if it's a violation; one of the rumors is that the kid is a friend of Ware's.
