Two opportunities for the AAC to record marquee wins tonight, with Cincy just now getting underway against Pitt and Memphis taking on Florida later tonight. The Florida-Memphis game is kind of a win/win for us, since we play Memphis twice and we've already beaten Florida. But Cincy really needs this victory, because they're already treading towards the wrong side of the bubble and they aren't going to have as many opportunities as they've had in past years to win big games in conference (although, I guess that may not be true since they play six games against top 15 teams, but you'd still like them to win this game for the sake of the conference).

These teams really play ugly and can't shoot the ball, almost every basket is a garbage put back, 40 points for both teams in first half.

Cincinnati has the tendency to make any game they're involved in unwatchable. Pittsburgh went nine minutes without a field goal to end the half, and somehow Cincinnati gained a total of one point of ground on them in that span. 20-20 at the half.

Cincy and Pitt just made the Butler-UConn championship look like some of the old Lakers-Celtics games in the 80's by combining for three field goals over the final nine minutes of the half. Kilpatrick went 1 of 7 from the floor - you get the feeling he's going to need to do more if Cincy has any chance in this one.

Looks like Big 10 ball...I'll fall asleep before the Memphis game even starts at this pace.

I know this has been an ugly game, but both teams are putting on a clinic in defensive team basketball right now. There have been very few clean looks in this one. 33-33, about 7 minutes to play.

In other AAC "action", South Florida down 57-55 in overtime to Dunk City.

It would be really bad for the conference to lose both of these games.

This would go down in the record books for most agonizing losses in the history of losses if Cincy loses this. Pittsburgh just snapped a field goal drought of nearly FOURTEEN MINUTES, and it put them ahead. Unreal. Cincy ball, a minute left, down one.

This looks like its going to be an embarrassing loss for Cinci. Terrible play down the stretch

Now Pittsburgh misses two free throws with a chance to go ahead three. Cincy ball, 20 seconds left.

ALSO pitt went 8minutes w/o field goal in 1st Half = almost 24 minutes without a hoop!!!!

I spoke too soon. But Cinci deserved to lose that game, that was pitiful.

When we play these guys we will get very few clean looks from 3 also so we will need to step it up inside. Announcers were funny cringing about the inability for either to score, praying for the Memphis game not to get infected.

It's your prototypical Cincy team. They have a lot of long, bulky, athletic players with limited skill. The only guy they can count on to create is Kilpatrick, but all five of them can defend and rebound. They could be a tough match-up for us.

30 free throws for Pitt to 3 for Cincy. Didn't watch most of the game, but that's crazy. Saw the guy who hit the last shot for Cincy get hacked.
