I don't recall mentioning his Asian descent at the start of the thread. Can't help which direction it goes

are you comparing the Knicks to the Blue Hens?

I followed Womens Basketball before EDD... so whats your point?

I'm comparing teams that you would not follow if it wasn't for one specific player. You do it with EDD, why is it "sad" for that lady to now follow the Knicks? Try not to twist my analogy to legitimize your statement.

she's not following the Knicks... she's following "Super Lintendo"

I dont follow the Blue Hens (I follow EDD) and I didnt jump on the EDD bandwagon cause she's white.

I guess I'm starting to understand where you're coming from. Using your argument, any African American who supported Jackie Robinson but wasn't a lifelong baseball fan, was a very sad individual and without a doubt, never became a fan of the sport. Got it.

I happen to know Asians who are not from the Far East. Kind of wrong to act as if people from the Far East are the only Asians, and everyone (including central and south Asia) are not called "Asians". It's like calling all Caucasian people just Europeans. How assasine is that? No French, no English, no Russian, no Polish. Just European. Thank you for proving how culturally insensitive some of you are. "Oh, Lin is an Asian, but Ghandi is an Indian."

You didn't, but so much stuff said in this thread is shortsighted. After all, black people are just...black? Am I right? Or does their ancestry come from a certain area of Africa? There's immense differences amongst Africans, too. Incredibly insensitive to generalize another population, but be all willing to break down your own. "I am 1/2 Scottish, 1/8th German, another 1/8th Polish, and 1/4 Italian."

C'mon everyone, no reason to be snitty. my wife loves the girls and finally this kid make the Knicks watchable after what...two decades. He plays the game right, both she and I recognize that. The fact that she's Chinese is certainly a plus and a sense of national pride...and yes, I've always been interested in EDD (another great story) and no, I expect not to care a bit about the Hens after she graduates.
