OT: Is UConn Soccer Is Just Like Pitt Basketball?

I don't follow the soccer team other than headlines but aren't they supposed to be great every year and then sh$t the bed when comes to both the BET and the NCAAs.

Again, I don't follow them other than seeing rankings but they seem to follow the Pitt model of success, or lack thereof.

Seriously? We have two national championships in soccer. As far as attendance goes, we're one of the top couple of schools in the country. Pitt is a good hoops program that hasn't even sniffed a final four.

No. We have underachieved a few years running though. But past post-season success far outweighs anything Pitt has done in Basketball.

Pitt has a FF. It was back in '40 or '41 when it was an 8 team tournament and the NIT was king, but they were there.

and syracuse has more than 1 national championship but it was.....

We have three soccer NCs, 1948, 1981, 200. One was prior to the NCAA tournament.

Also, soccer is a different type of sport. One bounce of the ball can determine a season.

When I was on campus, outside of BBall games, the best show in town(campus) was Mens Soccer. Those games were NUTS.
