"ZZ Top has canceled its show at the Big E because of an injury its bassist sustained to his hip while aboard the band's tour bus last month.

The band was scheduled to play at the fair Sept. 26, but recent developments into the severity of Dusty Hill's injury forced the band to cancel.

Initially, Hill's injury caused the band to cancel tour dates through Sept. 13, at which time the Big E date was not affected.

Hill, 65, required medical attention when he fell inside the tour bus prior to a concert in August."

WOW I am old - their bassist is 65!!
Life Alert commercial to come...

Yeah, i saw that too... its really too bad they had to cancel. I love the Big E, can't wait til it starts on Friday. Get some DEEP FRIED goodnessss!!!

Boy do I feel old. Saw them in 1979 (old Boston Garden), 1983 (Nassau Coliseum) and 1986 (Byrne Arena).

What happened to next man up? They should have been giving some riffs to a younger bassist in order to prepare for the future. Bad management.

Palace Theater in Waterbury 75 or 6... "Our boy's way down there in Waterbury Connecticut. We cannot let him stay out all night." Slade was the opener and got chased off the stage.

Obviously not in a preparation phase of their program.

Very underrated band. Billy Gibbons can hang with the best of them. Double Down Live is a great album.
