Great question. I'd wondered too, but knew how they were using it so I didn't question it.
 
You know how when you like something....and it says "you like this"....I bet when Spartacus likes something it still says "Spartacus likes this",

Those Spartacus has vanquished believe it is belittling to apply a feminine pronoun to human beings. As if there is something wrong or weak about women. They do not share Spartacus's more advanced view of the female sex.

Spartacus has embraced the chauvinistic putdowns because, in his world, the value of a human is not measured by one's genitalia. It is a liberating worldview Spartacus brings to you. Embrace it.
