My Dad: 2nd Lieutenant, Army Air Corps, navigator on a B17 flying missions out of England

I salute any and all of the airmen who were in the 8th Bomber Command flying out
of England. They flew daylight bombing raids deep into Nazi occupied territory and for most of war had minimal fighter escort into target.
Their losses were horrendous but they suited up and kept coming.
My uncle was part of 8th Bomber Command and fortunately survived.
Never talked much his war experiences.
All these men were true American heroes.
