I am rooting for them. JC deserves a few more wins.

Well Chief said he'd be recruiting D1 players, so I'm sure commitments are on the horizon.

Yes. Last season they had a very talented but young d3 team. They probably lost more games than they should have but should be very good this year if those freshmen stayed.

If you had any talent as a troll you'd have asked if he's currently recruiting defensive specialists.

He actually only has like 3-4 kids coming in this year. I spoke with him a few weeks ago about it. He seemed pretty excited although I'll totally admit to being distracted a bit so I didn't listen on everyone - but he likes the group a lot. Got a kid from Springfield he thinks would have been a legit top D1 talent if he had his stuff together. Thinks he can straighten him out at St Joes. But almost everyone last year was a freshman, so not much room to recruit.

Talking about Calhoun recruits at St. Joe’s while threads on the front page headline of today’s Courant is being banned is pretty inane, isn’t it?
Or, perhaps not quite what you think.

He’s up to maybe 2-3 on his team now. That’s how he almost made the tournament last season and more coming.

That gives me an idea. Start a feeder program for kids with D1 talent who don't have their act together emotionally, maturity, academically or what ever. Have them enroll in a UConn style D3 or JUCO program until they get their act together. I graduated with a kid who set the school record in scoring, but had some academic issues. PC sent him to a JUCO in Kansas with the 'promise to bring him back. Didn't work out for him. But I bet it has for others.

Yeah he's had a few kids like that. BC kid comes to mind from last year. Kid from Springfield I actually know personally - really, really good kid; good basketball player, too - just one of those kids who can't be bothered with the peripheral details of life. But you know, that's the difference with some kids.

But he's also after good, old fashioned good DIII basketball players, too.
