I was lucky enough to spend 7 weeks in Australia back in 2009 and one of those weeks was along the Adelaide River and included a few Brutus feedings. It's the most prehistoric, violent way to sh&t your pants I can think of.

A few weeks later I was in Port Douglas watching a grouper the size of a VW Bus swim up to a patio bar every 30 minutes to be hand fed by tourists.

I was drunk most of the trip but Australia's a pretty cool city.

I loved the Port Douglas area, sure as hell beats Cairns. Lived in Oz for 8 years (also a dual citizen).

We hit Port Douglas as part of our honeymoon (a week in Australia and two in New Zealand). Really nice. My only problem was that we couldn't swim near the shore because of the jellyfish.

Notice the full grown men are standing aside the gator. No depth perception sleight of hand. The men barely are as high to the hind legs.

I'm going on record with a prediction that when you review this post tomorrow, you're going to cringe. At least just a bit.
