Cheyenne Woods won a Euro tour event last week in Australia. Tiger's niece. The field was not as deep as a typical LPGA event but it had many good players...among them rising USA star Jess Korda. Cheyenne...23...had a very good amateur career but never has been tagged as a future star. This could be a blip on the radar or the start of something big. She failed to make the 2014 LPGA tour in a qualifying event a while back but this gives her Euro tour status for the next 2 years.
IMO...floodgates will open for her to receive the max number of sponsor exemptions to play in LPGA events...maybe 7? The LPGA needs all the sizzle it can get....better yet if the sizzle is American. I saw her interviewed after the win....she comes across as very composed and TV friendly.
Good luck to her!
