Hi there fellow golfers. It's been quite a few years since I had any chance to stay and play more than one round but am planning a weeklong trip back east with a few people from the Seattle area. The only way I am luring them back here for 7 days is beaches and shopping sight seeing for the women and 4 golf outings for the guys.

Probably will be renting a house in Watch Hill/Misquamicut area. Here are the 4 courses I have on the list currently but of course am open to suggestions and that's why I'm posting. Also if any of you have any private courses you know and any tricks to get on them I'm all ears.

1. Meadowbrook
2. Lake of Isles North
3. Richmond
4. Newport National

Would love to try The Preserve at Boulder Hills

Thanks in advance for any responses

Lake of Isles is awesome but not too sure if it's worth the price.

Richmond has always been one of my favorite courses to play but I haven't been there in years so I don't know how the conditions are.

Meadowbrook looks amazing haven't played it yet this year but drive by it every time I go to my spot in Matunuk. My and my buddies are planning a 36 holes there right after Labor Day. Played Fenner Hill last week it was in pretty good shape, fun course not great. Richmond - great layout just be sure their greens are ok call ahead. They've had some issues lately although the last year or so they seem to have them under control. The Preserve I saw on NESN Golf destination, it's more hunting than golf it would seem. Looks like a par 3 course at this point. Winnipeg is fun although dry as hell right now, Beaver Brook not too bad. Exeter is a good golf test can play long.

Newport National is very nice but priced too high right now, not that nice. Lake of Isles you can never lose.

In regards to price all of these courses are less expensive than out here

Also Fenner Hill is interesting because it's so close. Is it new? I don't recall it being there when I lived there. My parents have a home almost right on Richmond. Yes they live in the sticks.

Fenner has been around for as long as I've been heading down there in the spring and fall. Prices are great down in SRI. Even Meadowbrook, high end at 60-70 is well priced and goes down after kids go back to school. Also check out early am specials there.

Richmond I like, looks like it should be in NC.

Can do Pinehills if inclined. Plymouth, MA, about 20 minutes past the end of I-195E(?). Has 2 courses almost in Lake of Isles class. Just over an hour from Providence?

There used to be a great mini-golf on Rt 2 entering Westerly. but not sure it's still there.
