OT: golf...St. Andrews goes co-ed.

The home of golf has 7 new members...women! A pretty...uhhh...diverse..group.
Annika, Princess Anne among them.

Renee Powell becomes a member....yes! Google her and/or her dad [Bill Powell].
The family is a pioneer in terms of African Americans and golf. About 50 years ago I played
at his course....knowing nothing about its background....and I have a very vague recollection of Renee
doing odd jobs around the place and being on the range.

Congratulations to her...she has done Dad proud with how that course has developed.

Sorenstam was a great - and obvious - pick. I never saw Powell play but I knew of her through her teaching contributions to one of the golf mags.
