Good for Georgetown but why wouldn’t UNC try to schedule a home and home vs one of the better programs in the Big East? Kind of like us scheduling Georgia Tech for a home and home

UNC's coaching staff isn't exactly on solid ground at this point. They are probably looking at this as a very winnable game with a program with good name recognition.

I doubt the coaches have much input on the schedule. I'd guess it's to help recruit Baltimore/DC area kids.

lol you think Hurley is letting someone else come up with his schedule? I think the head coach is the #1 driver of the schedule for big time teams like us.

Hurley literally said he wasn't playing MTEs and instead playing big individual games in big arenas and that's exactly what happened. It was just an amazing coincidence.
