How do we show empathy for our young women taking exams? You guessed it.

Please no reprinting questions nor research.

1..Nobel Peace: 1st Prez? 1st American woman? 1st Afro-American?

2..In 1997 150 countries produce the K____ A________.

3..The only wild dog with webbed feet hails from what continent?

4..The Supremes to take up drunk driving. About what exactly?

5..The phrase "brokered GOP convention" is in the news. What's that about?

6..EMT's and some cops are carrying Nalazone. What for?

7..Who donated the U.N. land?

8..Oscar Straus was a 1st(?). Who made that possible?

9.. The legal tool RICO stands for?

10..Most sand is made from______ crystals.

11..In 1964 why did the Prez of Mexico and of the US arrange an explosion?

12..What is Ben Franklin's quote about 2 inevitabilities?

13.."If you change your mind, I'll be first in line."

2. Kyoto Agreement
5. If no one candidate has a decisive majority of pledged delegates, or even a commanding lead, then the back-room deals commence, with the various party powers brokering a deal to form the ticket.
6. To quickly reverse an opiate overdose.

9. Racketeer..... something or other.....
13. Take A Chance On Me - Abba

1..Jimmy Carter, ?, Nelson Mandela
2..Kyoto Agreement
3..Australia
5..If the convention deadlocks on the voting (as seems likely at this point), the "brokers" will go into a back room and start making deals with the state delegations to throw support to someone other than whoever won their primary.
6.. Heroin overdose treatment
9.. Racketeering, Influential? and Corrupt Organizations
10..Quartz
12..The only things certain are death and taxes.

1. I think Teddy Roosevelt (or perhaps Woodrow Wilson) was the first prez. Eleanor Roosevelt the first American woman (purely a guess)? I believe Ralph Bunche was the first African-American.
5. Others have explained what a brokered convention is. It's in the news because Ben Carson complained recently about the possibility of one and said he might run as an independent if the Republicans defied the results of the primaries and chose their candidate in a brokered convention.
7. The Rockefellers.

4. Whether you have a right to refuse alcohol testing without a warrant

1 - I'm feeling RBNY, I think. TR, for brokering the peace for a war in the Far East, I'll guess Eleanor as well, and Ralph Bunche for his work with the UN.

3 - Australia seems likely

12 - Two things are certain, Death and Taxes.

2..Kyoto Accord

3..Australia

5..Speculation that no presidential candidate will get a majority of delegates and the nominee will be picked at the convention by deal making

6..opioid overdose

7..Rockefeller

9.. racketeer something and corrupt organizations

10..quartz

1..Not Eleanor...Jane(?)was granted the 1st honorary doctorate to a woman by Yale(1910). Awarded the Oslo prize in 1931,
died in 1935.

3..This consensus about Australia shows a cuddly test-taking harmony, but the Aussies have only 1 wild dog, the dingo.
You want the land with the 3rd largest cat.

4..You need to consider the notion of "crime".

8...First Jewish cabinet member, Sec'y of Commerce and Labor. The Prez?

3. With this hint - 3rd largest cat is the jaguar, which is primarily South American/Central American (tho' a few make it to Mexico and the US border) - so, South America

1. Jimmy Carter, ???, Ralph Bunche
3. Africa
5. A candidate not having enough delgates for the nomination, the behind the scenes maneuvering/deals to nominate the choice of the party powerful. My guess is that it will end up being a straightforward nomination.
7. The Rockefellers
9. Used to prosecute organized crime
10. silicon

...and a whole lot else. Prosecutors have found it a handy-dandy Swiss Army Knife statute they can twist around to try just about any crime "perpetrated" by 2 or more people.

1..You picked Teddy; that works. Jane Addams for 1st woman. Ralph Bunche finishes us. You got the slices, but missed the sandwich filling.

2..Pinot, JR & hoop provide Kyoto.

3..Even a jaguar can't stand up to a silly ol' bear; the dog is an Amazon critter.

4..TX has the issue, plain as a drunk driver.

5..A bunch of you here, with a rbny addition of an affronted Ben Carson.

6..Pinot and hoop write that one can neutralize an opioid overdose. Still, those 2 guys never learn; you'll find them in the gutter.

7..Rbny, hoop and VAUX pinpoint the Rockefellers; I'll pinpoint further to write John D. II

8..Teddy puts the 1st Jew in the cabinet.

10..JR and hoop say sand is found in quartz sizes, never pints.

9..JR has a leaner, not quite a ringer--INFLUENCED.

11..It was designed to settle a border by altering the river.

12..Picky me wants, "In this world nothing can be said to be certain except death and taxes."

13..JC notes, "Honey I'm still free; take a chance on me." What do you say ladies? Can someone take JC out to dinner?
