11. Benny Hill - English comedian with his own TV show that include pretty raunchy, and very low class very British comedy sensibilities - [and Benny Hinn didn't?] [probably stage name vs. birth name?]

7. The Stockholm syndrome, in which hostages bond with their captors and end up having positive feelings toward them.

6 - entry into the EU?
10 - Red Skelton maybe, although I thought his was "God Bless"

3..Libertarians?

7.Stolkholm syndrome where victims sympathize with their captors

8..Atlantic City

9..She's Leaving Home on Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. But I don't believe an elopement is mentioned. She is meeting a man from the motor trade and it's implied there is a previous emotional connection, but no marriage is mentioned.

11..One does ridiculous things that make me laugh out loud, the other is a British comic.

1..VAUC has read the best seller MODERN ROMANCE in order to know that 35% is correct. While I read it with the purity of a former sociologist, VAUC was just hoping to find a sleazy date.

2..Zorro offers frozen chicken, but we want Riddick Bowe here.

3..UcM, geordi, Fair & zorro provide "libertarian".

4..Geordi & UcM offer descriptions, and I would add that it is considered the 1st true example of a Renaissance building.

5..Carotenoids

6..Romania changed sides from Axis to Allies.

7..Rbny explains; VAUC more taciturn.

8..Atlantic City, where the zorro quintet discovered you can't gamble with Monopoly money.

9..Fair has no capacity for intuition. What did you think they'd be doing, opening a used car dealership?
Alydar reads the writing on the wall.

10..Yup, that was Roy's endearing sign-off, and geordi & zorro would not miss an episode, despite their mom telling them to do their freakin' homework.

11..A few piecemeal responses, but I must highlight Fair's twist.

12..Zorro inserts the G-H treaty, which was a delightful agreement--but one that ended Mexico's war with us.
Zorro's 2nd thought no doubt was the treaty of Cordoba in 1821 which he didn't type and thus gets no credit.

13..It's now a few ticks past 7 pm in Malaysia. I bet you can figure the rest.

Do you not mean one day MINUS 9 hours?

Actually, I have never been able to retain which way the international date line plays despite having the discussion quite often with fellow service persons who served overseas. Even they were often confused.

I don't pretend to straighten anyone out here, for I've also experienced by brain turning to molasses on this conversion. But I can assure you that no one place can ever be more than a day ahead of any other place. So when it is noon Tuesday in westernmost Alaska, then across the
magic line into easternmost Russia, it is 11:am Wednesday.
