13. Washington Redskins - There was an article in the paper this week about Bobby Mitchell, the great Redskins running back/wide receiver who broke the color barrier on the team in 1962.

I just thought I'd refrain, this one time, from pointing out that we both read the New York Times. Oh well, there I went and said it.

7 - in 1789, John Adams was VP, which doesn't exclude him, of course. I don't actually remember what we were negotiating in 1789 - Jay was on the supreme court, which also doesn't exclude him.

1..Frank bites; Guess he doesn't know one inhales, not bites. Pot plants.

2..Pickup, a movie title...Ed4...and there were no hippies yet.

3..Ed4 again with Pere Lachaise, where he exclaims, "I see dead people". Hopefully Ed4 never once needed to call on Buffy.

4..Touch.

5..Geordi and frank give us Columbia.

6..Horsemeat...though the owner did change his plans. Ed4 does not advocate the diet.

7..Five of you say John Adams...some also provide his traveling companion, John Jay.

8..Dish starts the refrain--rattle those pots and pans. VAUC adds that it was Joe Turner (The Boss of the Blues)
Bill Haley & the Comets gave it wider circulation.

9..The Diary of Anne Frank.

10..Ed4 runs with the hint--Iran's rial.

11..Naval War College--cited by VTC & frank.

12..Summer & Smoke reflects the blanks...that's SoCal & geordi. ED4 slightly exceeded tha blanks, but he gets credit too.

13..Rbny, still a reader, provides Washington.

There will be a couple of hours delay with part B.
