13. There's a northeast entrance...and, I think that the west (West Yellowstone) and north (Mammoth Hot Springs) are the only ones open in winter.

1..the syndicated Miss Manners. The socially inept TXs & Arnie are faithful readers.

2..You covered the field but failed to mention Piggely Wiggely.

3..Just frank here with E. Timor. VAUC has turned lavender blue.

4..The eyes of Texas will only catch a glimpse of those upon which they are. Say what?
Frank, VTC & Arnie

5..Mr. Herbert Hoover, thanks to ed4.

6..Yes, sir, frank, the 25th of this month.

7..So darlin', darlin', STAND BY ME...mr006, Arnie & VAUC.

8..It was the Quincy guy.

10..Novelty song--ENGLISH MUFFINS AND IRISH STEW.

9..Credit to Pinot for "smoking".

11..William Inge, as ed4+3 indicated.

12..Yes, Polish is too obvious; frank knows he was Czech.

13..Pinot is good at this, relying on his decades as a survivalist. There's a northeast entrance. My info says only the north(Pinot again) is cleared & open in winter. Essentially the Park tkes little pains to clear roads, leaving transportation to snowmobilers et al.

As always, a delight dealing with you.
