1) Their team (Tennessee) lost to Japan, 12 - 2, in the Little League Championship game. Their two runs were the first earned runs Japan had given up in the whole tournament.

6) Samsung. Some of the awards will be overturned on appeal.

8) Meringue (cream of tartar)

13) Wilbur

1. I'm guessing that's the home of the TN LLB team that lost to Japan 12-2 in LLWS Championship game.
2. DNC?
6. Samsung. Although it's far from over and I think I read somewhere that Samsung has actually won some lawsuits in other countries against Apple.
8. gonna guess Meringue.
13. IIRC it was Wilbur. It's been years since I read it though.

1..Heavy, Meyers & geordi pinpoint the losing team from Tenn.

2..And said executions have already begun--geordi has it; meyers just being swarmy pants.

3..Rbny identifies Steve Van Buren, reaching a ripe old age. Oh, yes, Steve too.

4..Pinot & vtc, with Hyundai.

5..Crown, vtc & geordi get the guy who may have saved his kingdom had he a horse.

6..VAUC is among a quintet with Samsung.

7..Mrs. Jones will thank the silly ol' bear to stop spreading rumors. Meanwhile TXs (a probable Big 12 person) points out that his bride
is the-well-known-to-us Whitney Hand.

8..A whole bunch of merengue people.

9..A depression era tale of a woman who, despite betrayals and other hardships, uses her bootstraps.

10..Chilli thrips

11..You may have gotten this if I had correctly typed 1875. My bad. He swam the English Channel.

12..Well, Tiff, of course (then added 2 foul shots to 4-0). Don't know why you don't guess.

13..Heavy in a quartet, VTC sounds ashamed or mystified by his knowledge.
