8. Bill Buchnar? I assume you mean Bill Buckner who let a ground ball
go through his legs resulting in a Mets win in the 86 world series.

11. Wasn't that the site of a protest by homosexual men against the
harassment and abuse by NYC police? Something like that?

11. Stonewall Inn was (and still is, I believe) a gay bar in Greenwich Village. When police raided the place, the patrons fought back and rioted. The riot is considered to mark the start of the gay rights movement in the U.S.

2. United States
3. Radio Love - ???
5. Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria
8. Bill Buckner was the Red Sox first baseman in 1986 when, in the 9th inning of game 6 against the Mets, a game the Red Sox appeared to have well in hand with a two run lead and two outs, Bill Buckner failed to come up with the Mookie Wilson grounder that allowed Ray Knight to score the winning run from second base, capping a tremendously unbelievalbe two out rally to win the game and send the series to a seventh game.

What to do during a Wimbledon rain delay? Well, there's this.

1..Best, VAUC & VTC mention Livingston, I presume.

2..Best alone is accurate with the Phillipines.

3..Golden Earring sings Radar Love.

4..Some of you are bound to remember that the Romanian folks hanged the Ceausescus on Christmas Day.

5..VAUC has all 3, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria.

6..And, Frank, so have millions of others, as it has been top of the list for weeks.

7..The clock henceforth is "Elizabeth", one gesture for the queen's diamond jubilee. Best is on this.

8..Several of you write of the Mookie-bobble. Oh yes, you are correct that the spelling is "Bochner".

9..Meyers expresses some giddiness over Fleetwood Mac's Sara.

10..William Gladstone & Benjamin Disraeli were respectively heads of their parties from 1868. Award to Knights.

11..Four of you identify the gay bar that led to police raids. See Rbny for detail.

12..1847...Best was close.

13..Frank cites Shirley Maclaine

You have 10 of 13 here.
