3..Venn diagrams pictorially illustrate set and logical relationships between different groups of things. They consist of a rectangular universe. In the context of this universe of what is being considered are the circular Venn diagrams representing sets of the universe. They may be independent and/or overlapping. Venn diagrams encompass much of what are Euler diagrams. Poor Euler! Newton steals credit for calculus from him. Then his diagrams get absorbed into Venn diagrams. The poor guy could not get credit for anything! He needed a really good PR person.
